14 Million US$ New Manufacturing Facility in Toyota City

Continuing to provide customers with high quality products for more than four decades now, Kosei Aluminum Co. Ltd. (KACL) is always ready to keep up with the demands of the growing market. In line with this strong commitment to continuously develop and improve, KACL will rebuild its manufacturing facility and head office right in the very heart of Toyota City where the Toyota Motors Corporation main facility and head office is likewise located.

KACL head office was established in 1965. Located in Toyota, Japan, it has a total land area of 23,500 square meters (building area is 9,600 square meters).

The current facility produces aluminum wheels and general casting parts. These various general casting parts include parts for cars, motorcycles, boats and power cables. KACL has an annual production capacity of 1,800 tons of aluminum general casting parts (a production capacity of 150 tons of aluminum general casting parts per month).

Apart from the demand of the growing market, Kosei has decided to undergo a major investment in the construction of a new facility to further assure the facilitie`s structural integrity. Japan being known to be an earthquake prone country, safety considerations in building construction is a top most concern.

This project is made possible through precision planning and solid coordination of the Kosei Team both in local and overseas. Thorough feasibility study and extensive logistic strategies has been made for this 14 Million US$ KACL All- New Facility Project. Building investment is approximately worth 8.2 Million US$ and approximately 5.4 Million US$ worth of machineries and utilities. Kosei Logistics gave its best efforts to ensure sufficient supply of stocks from its affiliate companies in overseas and to ensure not to hamper the operations of its customers.

The on- going construction of the new facility is planned to be finished on March 2009. Defining the outline of a new era, the new KACL will resume its normal operation from April 2009.

The new facility will have a total plant area of 5,280 square meters. This will house manufacturing of aluminum parts from casting, machining and up to sub- assemblies of components for automotive, motorcycles and other aluminum parts in related industries. It will also be the central control of its global operation for logistics and planning, engineering and development, research of new technology and the general affairs of administration. The wheel production of KACL will transfer to the new Kosei Manufacturing Plant in Hokkaido
