The island of Hokkaido is located at the north end of Japan, near Russia,
and has coastlines on the Sea of Japan, the Sea of Okhotsk and the Pacific
Ocean. It is at the moment a location for Companies such as Dynax- Clutch,Denso
Electronics (Car Sensors), Keihin Semitu Kogyou- Engine Parts, Hokkaido
Steel Wire Co- Wires for Engine Parts and a location for neighboring Companies
such as Toyota Motors Corp-Hokkaido, Isuzu- Small engine Production, Aishin
Hokkaido- AT Parts and Sango Hokkaido- Muffler Maker. KNCL is located at
Hokkaido Tomakomai City, Aza Kashiwabarra near Toyako where the 34th G8
Summit was held last July 2008.
The facility has a total lot area of 66,265 square meters (building area
is 11,935 square meters). It is a strategic location for import and export.
It is also a strategic hub for supply of raw materials particularly Aluminum
Ingots from Russia. And taking into consideration environmental- friendly
manufacturing processes, here they have an abundant source of Liquid Natural
Gas (LNG) and an abundant source of manpower.
Another reason for investing in a new facility is risk management. Facilities
are put up in various locations so that in event that an earthquake or
other calamities may occur, Kosei Aluminum will be able to respond quickly
to whatever threat these unwanted circumstances may bring about. |
